We believe trust is earned through transparency, respect, and giving you meaningful control over your information. Wherever possible, KAIRO is designed to minimise the amount of personal information collected while still providing a personalised and supportive experience.

Daily Check-ins

When you complete a Daily Check-in, KAIRO may store information such as:

  • available time;

  • selected goals;

  • wellbeing scores;

  • activity completion.

This information helps KAIRO personalise conversations, Daily Plans, and your overall wellbeing journey.

Personal Profile

If you choose to create a Personal Profile, KAIRO may store information such as:

  • preferred name;

  • profile preferences;

  • optional wellbeing preferences.

Providing this information is optional and is used only to make your experience more personal.

Conversations with KAIRO

When you talk with KAIRO, conversation history is used to:

  • maintain conversational context;

  • provide relevant responses;

  • support continuity between conversations.

KAIRO is designed to build an ongoing relationship rather than treating each conversation as completely independent.

Long-Term Memory

With your permission, KAIRO may identify and remember a limited number of meaningful details that help future conversations feel more personal.

Examples include:

  • long-term goals;

  • interests;

  • preferences;

  • recurring wellbeing intentions;

  • important life events you choose to share.

Unlike traditional chat history, KAIRO intentionally stores only a limited number of meaningful memories rather than entire conversations.

These memories are:

  • visible to you;

  • removable at any time;

  • designed solely to improve future conversations.

You remain in control of KAIRO's memory.

Daily Plans

KAIRO stores your generated Daily Plans together with activity completion information to help you monitor long-term wellbeing progress.

Wellbeing Tools

When you use KAIRO's wellbeing tools, including features such as Sleep Sounds and Brain Noise, KAIRO may store preferences needed to remember your settings and improve your experience.

Preferences

KAIRO stores certain application preferences, including:

  • notification preferences;

  • reminder preferences;

  • sound settings;

  • haptic settings;

  • accessibility preferences;

  • interface preferences where available.

Premium Subscription

If you subscribe to KAIRO Premium, subscription billing is managed by the platform from which you purchased your subscription, including:

  • Apple App Store

  • Google Play

KAIRO does not receive or store your payment card information.

We receive only the information necessary to determine whether Premium features should be available for your account or device.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

KAIRO is intentionally designed to minimise data collection.

KAIRO does not require you to create an account.

Unless you voluntarily choose to provide it, KAIRO does not collect:

  • your legal name;

  • your postal address;

  • government-issued identification;

  • payment card information.

KAIRO does not:

  • sell your personal information;

  • build advertising profiles;

  • display third-party advertising;

  • share your information with advertisers.

Our goal is to support your wellbeing—not monetise your personal information.

4. How Your Information Is Stored

KAIRO follows a privacy-first architecture.

Where practical, wellbeing information is stored locally on your device.

Some information may also be securely processed or stored through trusted cloud infrastructure to support features such as:

  • long-term memory;

  • personalised conversations;

  • conversational continuity;

  • Premium functionality;

  • future cross-device experiences.

We continually work to minimise the amount of information retained while providing a personalised experience.

5. Artificial Intelligence

Some features of KAIRO use artificial intelligence to generate personalised responses and wellbeing guidance.

Examples include:

  • KAIRO Companion;

  • Daily Plans;

  • Long-Term Memory;

  • conversational support.

To generate responses, limited information may be securely processed by trusted AI providers.

Depending on the feature used, this may include:

  • recent conversation context;

  • today's Daily Check-in;

  • relevant long-term memories;

  • selected goals;

  • profile preferences.

AI-generated responses are intended to support general wellbeing and reflection.

They are not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice.
 

6. How We Use Your Information

We use your information only for purposes directly related to providing and improving KAIRO.

Examples include:

  • personalising conversations;

  • generating Daily Plans;

  • supporting Daily Check-ins;

  • remembering meaningful long-term information (with your permission);

  • improving continuity between conversations;

  • displaying wellbeing progress;

  • enabling Premium features;

  • improving reliability, stability, and performance.

We do not use your information for advertising or profiling.

7. Long-Term Memory

One of KAIRO's defining features is its Long-Term Memory.

Unlike traditional chat applications that rely only on recent conversation history, KAIRO may remember a small number of meaningful details that help future conversations become more personal over time.

Examples include:

  • long-term goals;

  • personal interests;

  • preferred ways of working;

  • recurring wellbeing intentions;

  • important milestones you choose to share.

KAIRO intentionally remembers only information that is likely to improve future conversations.

You remain in control.

At any time, you can:

  • review stored memories;

  • delete individual memories;

  • delete all memories.

Deleting a memory permanently removes it from future conversations.

8. Data Security

Protecting your information is important to us.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

Although no method of internet transmission or electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure, we continually work to minimise risk and improve the security of KAIRO.

9. Third-Party Services

To provide KAIRO, we rely on carefully selected third-party service providers.

These may include services for:

  • artificial intelligence;

  • subscription management;

  • cloud infrastructure;

  • application analytics;

  • application distribution.

We believe meaningful personalisation should never come at the expense of user control.

Depending on the feature, you may:

  • review stored memories;

  • delete individual memories;

  • delete all memories;

  • delete conversations;

  • delete Daily Plans;

  • remove your Personal Profile;

  • change notification preferences;

  • disable reminders;

  • uninstall the application.

Deleting information is permanent unless otherwise required by applicable law.

12. Children's Privacy

KAIRO is intended for users aged 13 years or older, or the minimum age required by the laws of your jurisdiction.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable minimum age.

If we become aware that such information has been collected unintentionally, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

As KAIRO evolves, we may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

When significant changes are made, we will update the Last Updated version and, where appropriate, notify users through the application or our website.

Your continued use of KAIRO after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
